Similar to electronics, our clothes will have a longer life-span and higher value than our normal fast-fashion items. These digital clothes will always get upgraded and recreated but there will be a much larger gap between purchases. This will use a lot of plastic and electricity for testing. However it does provide opportunity to recycle plastic parts for example water bottles or plastic bags. They could be melted down and reused for everyday clothing or even couture gowns.
Whilst technology may have a large impact on plastic production it also means there is a reduction in water use, a valued resource, during production and also laundering.
